On May 17, 2010 Rima Fakih from Dearborn, Michigan won the Miss America pageant. Rima wore a stunning Marisa gown for her formal attire. The gown was a taffeta Marisa gown, with an asymmetrical drop-waist, complimented with custom bead work. Rima will be competing in the Miss Universe pageant this August.

The Gaylord Palms Resort is hosting the “Double Happiness” bridal showcase on July 18th from 1:00-5:00 PM. There will be a New York runway fashion show by yours truly, Solutions Bridal Designer House. All of the dresses present during the fashion show are dresses that Solutions Bridal carries in store. Aside from the fabulous fashion show, there will be over 90 exhibits from bridal professionals all around Florida. There will be samples from some of the best caterers and cake designers in the area, along with live entertainment. You can pre-register online at ASBridalshow.com. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door for $10. Brides will have the chance to register to win a 4-day, 3-night trip for two to Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino and Spa. At the Florida Bridal Expo in January of this year the Gainesville store started a promotion for a free bridal gown! The promotion ended at the beginning of this month and we were finally able to pick our winner– Sarah Odom!!
Sarah is getting married at First Baptist Church in High Springs, with reception to follow at Haile Plantation Golf and Country Club. She came into the store with her mom, grandma, and sister-in-law in early April and found her beautiful Jasmine Couture lace gown. She was so excited when we called her after our drawing to tell her that her purchase was going to be reimbursed and that her dress was 100% FREE!! We are so happy for her! She is one of our sweetest and most wonderful brides! Here are some pictures of the little celebration that we had for her in the store.
